Wow, I'm not even entirely sure what I'm looking at (besides water), but this is really captivating.

Hehe, just a stream flowing across some stones. This is quite an old piece, glad it caught your eye ;)

Great shot!! The little image kind of breaks the image and that's what makes it beautiful :D

amazing. i love how the leaf is balanced, and how it seems the slightest gust could send it into the crazy water...

Wow. It's running water, isn't it? The effect is surreal. Good shot.

Hmm, interesting. What'd you do with it? HDR?

yep, I've gone to a photo-trip trying these out (my first venture into HDR)... it may take a few minutes to get a shot, but I'm quite pleased with the possibilities...
(did a cave with ~9 shots of expositions ranging from <1 to up to 30 secs, but it turned too blurry regardless of the tripod and timer-shots as I had to manually change exp and touch the camera... guess one should have a remote control for these kinds of shots)

what do you think of the result? looks too saturated?

I dunno, I've tried HDR myself and it has this really distinct look that I'm not really loving. I don't know what it is really.

The water looks really cool, but I think you would've been better of doing it like a regular shot.

But of course, keep in mind that I'm a bit of an HDR hater so if you like the look go for it. It looks as good as most other HDR I've seen.

Many thanks for your honest opinion!
I think I know what you mean, I'm still having some second thoughts on HDR myself. It can have beautiful results, but they can sometimes turn out quite unreal or painting-like (not that it is neccessarily a bad thing, but sometimes it's just too weird and distracting)

I have to satisfy my curiosity though ;)

Too true =)

I actually started looking into HDR again now that we're talking about it...and there are some pretty cool looking things around (for example this [link] ). I guess it's all about getting that damn tone mapping to work correctly.
