One from the series of the study of the sun. It actually fascinates me how sun changes the landscape in the early morning, so I try to capture it and show the various moods it can set. Who knows, maybe it makes a person or two wake up earlier in an effort not to miss this magical part of the day
First of all, I'd love to say that this photo has an astonishing lighting to it. The way the sun rays are pouring through the tree and reflecting from the mist makes this seem so ethereal. And the dark forest in the middle distinguishes the dark from the light very well.
Originality-wise, this is pretty damn good. I have seen shots done like this but I've never seen any with such keen detail, fantastic job!
Technique wise it isn't bad at all. First of all, there is a lot of gray space in the photo to the left of the trees that are in the sunlight. If you moved the camera to the right slightly when taking this shot I think seeing more of the dark forest while eliminating that gray space (with nothing in it really) would have made the separation of light and dark more distinguished. Though part of me is glad you didn't move it over too far because it'd cut off the full extent of the sun rays.
Impact - it was breath-taking. I absolutely love this shot and I would like to thank you for allowing me to see this. Keep up the great work!
